NAF graduates 1,190 new personnel to bolster national security

Date:

Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has graduated 1,190 airmen and airwomen after six months of intense training, preparing them for the crucial task of protecting the country’s sovereignty.

The 1,190 personnel are members of the Basic Military Training Course 44/2023.

Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), in a speech during the Passing Out Parade, urged the airmen and airwomen to uphold the NAF’s fundamental principles of professionalism, discipline, and respect for civilians. He also commended the personnel for their tenacity and commitment.

The CAS told them, “You have been called to protect Nigeria’s sovereignty as warriors, traders, and leaders,” highlighting the value of excellence in the NAF.

Air Marshal Abubakar, therefore, thanked the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, for his commitment to meeting the NAF’s operational and welfare requirements.

The CAS commissioned a new classroom block at the NAFOWA Little Angels Nursery and Primary School devoted to special needs children as part of the occasion.

This initiative, led by NAFOWA National President and architect Dr. Rakiya Abubakar, demonstrates the association’s dedication to inclusivity and community development.

“As the new recruits set forth on their mission to serve and defend the country, the Passing forth Parade represented a momentous occasion,” a spokesman for the NAF said.
