“After 15 years as a London bus driver, my journey behind the wheel came to a heartfelt close,” Mr. Abdi Farah, the bus driver who is now a PhD Researcher, recounts on his Facebook account.
Mr. Farah, according to the post, made a special announcement over the PA on his last day at Victoria Station:
“After 15 years, today is my last day as a London bus driver. It has been a pleasure transporting you across the city. Thank you all for being part of my journey.”
He went on: “To my surprise, the entire bus erupted in cheers, and as passengers stepped off one final time, many wished me good luck.
Back then, I had no GCSEs and only a Level 1 qualification in English. The future felt uncertain. Yet, six years later, I’m proud to share what determination and C-type goals can achieve.
