The Senate Committee Chairman on Anti-Corruption and Financial Crimes, Senator Emmanuel Udende, Benue North East (APC), has urged his constituents to cultivate a heart of gratitude to God, not just for monumental blessings but also for the seemingly small and everyday mercies.
Senator Udende gave the charge during an all night praise and worship for God’s presence in his life, on Sunday, 12th January, 2025, Mr. Jerry Iorngaem, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Benue North East Senator has said in a statement.
Scores of Benue North East constituents and well wishers of Senator Udende were in his Abuja residence for the all night praise and worship, with New Jerusalem singers and EE Zuzu performing.
The Senator emphasised that it is only the Almighty God who determines the course of people’s lives, acknowledging that everything he is and has achieved is solely by God’s grace.
“I can’t thank God enough from the days of campaign, my arrest by military on Election eve, litigations, my successful surgical procedures amongs several other things God has done in my life hence the reason I will continue to praise God,” Sen Udende explained.
In his remarks, the Executive Director, Finance and Accounts, Federal Housing Authority Mr. Mathias Byuan, expressed satisfaction with the contributions of the Benue North-East Senator both at the plenary and at the constituency level.
Mr. Iorngaem quotes Mr. Byuan as saying: “In fairness, Senator Udende has performed exceptionally well within the short time of his stay at the Upper Chamber. He is always on the floor of the Senate making case for his constituents whenever they were attacked or making bills for the benefit of all of us, including me because I’m his constituent.”
Mr. Byuan further commends President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his good policies that will boost Nigeria’s economy in no distant time adding that for the sterling performance of President Tinubu and Senator Udende, he will have no alternative than to support the two leaders in 2027.
In his comment, Senator Titus Zam, Benue North-West and Senate Committee Chairman on Rulez and Business, the Board Chairman Federal Polytechnic Wannune, Chief Mike Msuaan OFR, Former Commissioner for Education Prof Dennis Ityavyar, and Engr Abraham Atotse all appreciate the host for always been close to God and pray God to give Senator Udende the capacity to succeed as a Senator.
The all night praise and worship for God culminated in a lively night of celebration, as guests joined in dancing and singing praises to God.
