A final vote is underway to determine the Benue Symbol.
Secretary of the Benue State Symbols Screening Committee, Chief Solomon Iorpev, says in a statement that following “loads of suggestions and inputs and necessary modifications,” the committee “re-present to you the final modified entries for your vote.” Flags are excluded from the ongoing vote.
Yesterday, we told you that the exercise may be subject to a fresh vote. In the fresh vote, the committee raised the available choices for a state symbol from three to five.
“Your choices have been increased from 3 to 5 symbols so that you can have a more robust variety to choose from since Flags are no longer part of the choice,” the statement by Chief Iorpev reads in part.
Nearly 6000 respondents participated in the previous vote.
