A humpback whale briefly swallowed a kayaker, Adrián Simancas, off Chilean Patagonia before quickly releasing him unharmed.
According to a report by the BBC, Andrián and his father, Dell Simancas, were kayaking when the massive humpback whale suddenly surfaced and swallowed the young man and his yellow kayak. The whale spit him out after a few seconds.
Dell, who captured the moment on video kept encouraging his son to stay calm, the report adds.
“I thought it had eaten me and swallowed me,” Adrián said.
