Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) has approved the appointment of erstwhile gubernatorial aspirant in Benue State, Mr. Mark Hanmation Tersoo as member of the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC), representing North Central. Also representing North Central on the commission is Salihu Umar Agboola Balogun, from Kwara State.
The appointment of Mr. Hanmation, with Balagun, is conveyed in a State House press statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy), 20th February, 2025.
Dr Saviour Enyiekere will head the commission as Chairman and would, alongside the 12 members of the commission, serve for a five-year renewable term.
Until his appointment, Mr. Hanmation was Special Adviser on Political Matters (North Central) to the Speaker House of Representatives.
Mr. Hanmation said he is “deeply honored and grateful” for his appointment and pledged “to serve with dedication, integrity, and commitment to the principles of excellence and efficiency.” He attributed his nomination and subsequent appointment to his principal, Rt Hon Tajudeen Abbas, Speaker of House of Representatives.
