Benue State Governor, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia has granted civil servants in the state the full period of the Yuletide, extending their holiday from 24th December, 2024 to 6th January, 2025. He announced this in a Christmas and New Year message to “the hard working people of Benue state” on Tuesday, 24th December, 2024.
The Governor while acknowledging the state workforce in the address, said their “dedication and commitment to duty have been instrumental in driving our collective agenda for development.”
According to the Governor, the enlongated holiday underscores his administration’s commitment to supporting the well-being of the State workforce.
He expects that the holiday would afford them the time to extend their “love on agriculture, urging them to attend to their “various agricultural engagements.”
Heads of essential services providers, the Governor said, would make internal arrangements in such a manner that service delivery is not interrupted.
